In this role, you will help ensure that all resort facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on maintenance experience, and attention to detail in both repairs and finishing work such as painting and surface preparation.
Job Summary

In this role, you will help ensure that all resort facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on maintenance experience, and attention to detail in both repairs and finishing work such as painting and surface preparation.
This position plays an important role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and operational efficiency of the resort through preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and high-quality painting work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, patching, and finishing to maintain the resort’s appearance and standards.
- Inspect facilities regularly for damage or maintenance issues involving walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and flooring.
- Complete minor carpentry, drywall repair, and painting touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment service schedules.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Assist with general upkeep of the resort grounds and facilities as needed.
- Support additional maintenance projects and property improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, resort, or property management environments.
- Demonstrated painting experience including prep work, patching, priming, and finishing.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond to maintenance needs during evenings, weekends, or emergencies when required.

Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Secrets Hideaway Resort and Spa™ is the culmination of James & Carmen’s desire to create a Lifestyle resort, for Swingers, by Swingers. With an intimate understanding of the Lifestyle atmosphere, the King & Queen of Swing started out with “Hedo Events" and began throwing exceptional Lifestyle parties at various venues throughout Florida. Yet, despite the success of the Hedo parties, James felt something was missing. He wanted to create an environment that catered to the unique culture of the Lifestyle, a place where friends could gather not only to party, but to actually getaway and luxuriate in the care-free nature of the Lifestyle. They knew they needed to find a hotel - a place for friends to both play & stay.
Thus, with the collaboration of various Lifestyle groups, Hedo Events and Club Secret® were born in Kissimmee, FL. Based in the current location, Club Secret® was able to find a permanent home, and open its doors every weekend for like-minded guests to gather. In spring 2011, Hedo Events introduced its first hotel “takeover”, Swingers Break®, and created a wildly successful, clothing optional, multi-day, Lifestyle event.
Over the next few years, James and Carmen hosted multiple hotel takeovers, but still had a desire to create a truly private, members-only, Lifestyle resort experience. Fueled by the love and dedication of their Lifestyle family, the King & Queen were finally able to fully takeover the hotel and create a first-of-its-kind, 5-Star, Lifestyle resort, Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa™.
